    Dear Colleague,

We invite you to participate in the EUNITE workshop “Intelligent Systems
in Patient Care”, at which the latest scientific research
results and practical applications of intelligent systems in patient
care will be presented. We expect to be able to cover a broad
area of medical applications, including laboratory medicine,
anaesthesiology and intensive care, internal medicine, neurology,
psychiatry, radiology, pathology, surgery, nursing, workflow and
    management, and others.
This vivid and highly interesting interdisciplinary area of
innovative work will address a number of target groups: physicians and
medical researchers interested in intelligent computer methodology,
computer scientists, engineers, physicists, and mathematicians
who carry out formal and technical developments in this area as well as
software and biotech companies that will be informed
about technical and clinical research results and, possibly, start
roll-out procedures of the developed software systems.
Oral (about 15') and poster presentations concerning the
above-mentioned topics are solicited. Do not hesitate to present
    ongoing research work.
The workshop is free of charge and you are most welcome to join.
Proceedings of written presentations and poster abstracts
will be published by the Austrian Computer Society (OCG) and can be
    purchased at the workshop.
If you intend to join, please do not fail to register for
participation, presentation of a paper or poster, and proceedings via
    online registration at http://www.akh-wien.ac.at/mes/regform.html.
