    LECTURER IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY/
    COMPUTING SCIENCE

    School of Mathematical and Computer Science

    The School seeks a new lecturer who will contribute to the development
    of teaching and learning in IT in this large and dynamic school. It
    is at the forefront of UNE's flexible teaching and learning strategies
    and the School is committed to extending its IT/CompSc offerings. The
    successful candidate will contribute to the ongoing development of
    teaching of internal, external and offshore students in a range of
    programs including the School's own highly popular Bachelor and
    postgraduate programs in IT and Computer Science.

    The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the
    School's research programs in the areas of IT, Parallel and
    Distributed Computing, Software Engineering, Object Orientated
    Programming and Program Semantics, and Fuzzy sets 'n logic.
    Interdisciplinary research and collaboration with industrial
    organisations is particularly encouraged.

    A generous `start-up' research/travel grant and market loading may be
    negotiated with this position.

    Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent in an appropriate discipline;
    an established program of ongoing research; and teaching or industry
    experience. It is desirable to have experience with distance
    education; and experience in online teaching.
