    Dear Colleagues:

    We would like to invite you to contribute to the technical session:

       "Soft Computing on the Net"

    This session is begin organized for FUZZ-IEEE 2001, Dec. 2-5 2001 and is to
    focus on technical advances in fuzzy logic being used in the Internet domain.
    The following list illustrates topics of particular interest in this session:

    1. Search Engines and Web Crawlers
    2. Information Retrieval
    3. Information Fusion
    4. Fuzzy Queries in Multimedia Database Systems
    5. User Profile Driven Query Development
    6. Document Summarization
    7. Data Mining for Terms-Documents and Text Mining
    8. E-Commerce: Other Internet or Web related Information Technologies

    We would like to solicit original papers covering both application and new
    advances in related technologies. Please let one of the undersigned knows if
    you would like to submit a paper to this technical session. The following is a
    timetable:

    Important Dates and Instructions for Submissions:

    1) Applications: Mar. 10 2001

    Contributors are required to send the following contents to either of the two
    session organizers by email.
    The email subject should be "Application to the Net".
              title of paper (tentative)
              name
              mailing address, affiliation, telephone and fax number, email address

    2) Paper submission: April 15 2001

    You should write papers in accordance with regulation of papers of FUZZ-IEEE2001
    and send your PDF file to either of the two organizers in electronic form by
    email. In sending the papers by email, email subject should be "Submission for
    the Net".

    3) Notification of Acceptance: Jun.1 2001

    4) Final manuscripts: Aug.3 2001( same date as that of ordinary papers)
