    ISSUE OF INTEGRATED COMPUTER-AIDED ENGINEERING
                                                     on
                                 Fuzzy Logic and Soft Computing

Guest Editors: Reza Langari, Shehu Farinwata and Witold Pedrycz

The journal of Integrated Computer-Aided Engineering is planning to
publish a special issue on Fuzzy Logic and Soft Computing, dedicated
    to Lotfi A. Zadeh

Topics of interest include (but are not limited to)

    * Fuzzy Control. Applied and theoretical analysis of fuzzy control
systems; application to robotics and manufacturing, automation
and process control, aerospace systems, etc.

    * Pattern Recognition and Classification. Analysis and classification
with application to imaging, speech recognition, etc.

    * Data and Knowledge Based Systems. Application of fuzzy logic and
soft computing to handling imprecision in classification, storage, and
      query processing

    * Planning, Decision Making and Control. Fuzzy and soft computing
application for application in complex and/or dynamic environments

    * Neural and Evolutionary Approaches to Fuzzy Systems. Application
of neural network structures and learning methodologies as well as
evolutionary paradigms, e.g. genetic algorithms to development of
fuzzy logic based models and control strategies

ICAE is a scholarly research journal with a primary focus on novel
    computational modeling.

Authors are invited to contact the Guest Editors and indicate their
intent to submit a paper for possible publication in the special issue
    as soon as possible.

All papers will be peer-reviewed for originality by at least 3 referees
on the journal's standard review form. Submission of a manuscript
implies that it is the author's original unpublished work and is not being
submitted for publication elsewhere. Please send 5 copies of your
original manuscript by May 15, 2001 to one of the Guest Editors:
