     The 2001 International Conference on Artificial Intelligence (IC-AI)
             Monte Carlo Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
                         June 25-28, 2001

    The call for papers for the Machine Learning Session of the 2001
    International
    Conference on Artificial Intelligence. You are invited to submit a
    draft paper of
    about 4 to 5 pages to a.wani@tees.ac.uk. All accepted papers will be
    published in
    the conference proceedings.

    SCOPE OF THE SESSION:
    The scope of the session is quite broad and includes the following
    topics:
    Representation of Knowledge for machine learning
    Multistrategy learning
    Deductive and Inductive inferencing
    Hybrid approaches for Inferencing and Learning
    Theories and models to reason plausibly

    IMPORTANT DATES:

            March 1, 2001 (Thursday): Draft papers (about 4 to 5 pages) due

            April 2, 2001 (Monday): Notification of acceptance
            May 1, 2001 (Tuesday): Camera-Ready papers & Prereg. Due
