    Wearable Computing Positions

There are opportunities for postdoctoral researchers (PhD)
and research engineers (Bachelors or above)
at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the
    National University of Singapore.

The research project is titled "Augmented Reality and HMDs". The
application and funding of this project is from the military
    domain.

The salary package for the positions is very generous. Tax rates are
very low in Singapore compared to many developed countries.

The project funding is very generous (a multi million dollar
    on-going project).

This is a rare opportunity to work in the cutting edge field of
wearable computing under the umbrella of a very highly funded
research organisation, in one of the most IT savvy countries in
    the world.

Researchers in one or more these research areas are being sought
    for:

    a) Image based rendering for augmented reality applications,
design of multimodal user interfaces suitable for wearable
    computing applications, etc.

    b) Head mounted display factors research; focusing on optimization
of head mounted display design,human/comfort factors

    c) Research and development into wearable computing hardware
issues, minimisation of size and power requirements, wireless
communications, dsp hardware and software etc.
